To bridge the cultural activities in the mainstream celebration of Bengali’s daily life, Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela came into being on July 10, 1972. Since then, the name has become synonymous with cultural excellence – be it in the country or abroad. The total number of registered children members of this cultural offshoot of Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela exceeds 1000 and the center boasts of many accolades in national and international level as a true ambassador of children’s’ cultural activity. Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela also has a Kochi-Kacha Biddyaniketon for Children. Kisholoy Free School is catering free education facility for underprivileged children, while the center is a venue for children’s cultural activities like dance, drama, music, arts etc. The Biennial ‘Shishu Shikkha Sibir’ (Children Education Camp) and ‘Zainul-Quamrul International Children’s Painting Competition’ are two of their outstanding programs.
